Wendy is OK!!!!
I want to thank everyone for their kind words and prayers…A lot of you knew that Wendy left for Haiti yesterday morning. The only thing that you did not know was that she had an overnight layover in Ft. Lauderdale!! WOW – I have never been so glad to know that she had a long layover!! She would have been landing right at the time of the devastation if the flight had of been direct…
Your thoughts and prayers and kind words meant so much! Just the fact that you cared enough to get in touch and find out what was happening was so great!
Wendy is fine!! We will know this morning if the airline can continue to Haiti or if they need to turn around and come home…I have a feeling the team wants to go and help…don’t know if that is possible. I will keep you all informed here as well as on twitter and facebook!!
Thanks so much!!
Kevin

Thanks so much for the update, we were wondering how she was doing! Our prayers continue for the people in Haiti, for those she would have been working with (and may still, as you said), and for the relief efforts that will be starting up soon.

Oh good! praise God! I am so glad to hear that. One of the people I work with is from Haiti and all his family lives there and he is the only one here in Edmonton. He was pretty upset to hear about the earthquake aswell.

Thanks for the update, Kevin! We have been praying and waiting for a word from you. “A word in season, how good it is!” (Proverbs 15:23)

Praise God. You definetly can see God’s work and faithfulness through this situation. I pray for her continued protection and if it is the Lord’s will, for Wendy to do His work over there. In Christ ,your sister.

Thanks so much for your concern and your willingness to pray…I just found out that Wendy will be in Haiti later today. They are going to Cap Haitien…I think it is 3-4 hours north of the capital where all the devastation is…Her trip will probably change in focus. I will keep everyone informed! Thanks for your prayers!!!

A tragedy certainly causes us to focus on what’s important. It’s amazing that Wendy and her group will actually be in Haiti later today. I will pray that God will use them to bring some healing and support to the Haiti people.
