I have recognized the importance of prayer and therefore I take time daily to bring everything to God in prayer. I follow a prayer guide which includes praise, thanksgiving, confession, and supplication. Though I always pray for my husband, I don't always thank God for Him. I think that spending more time reflecting on all the things that I am thankful for in him would benefit our relationship. A word of caution for all those women sacrificially "helping" their husbands. For the first time in my life I took our van in to be washed. I went too slow at the beginning (because I wanted to make sure the bottom was well sprayed) and the automatic door came down on the roof of the van. If that wasn't bad enough, I also got stuck on an ice bump going out the back door and that one just missed the van; I needed a push to get over the bump. The van wasn't damaged but their door was and the car wash is now closed till the door can be repaired. Sorry to all those people wanting to get the salt and mud off their vehicles. My husband said that he'll take care of the van from now on but I think I can do better next time. I also pray daily for my husband. I also pray for my spouse regularly but today was a special prayer day devoted to him (before I had even read the dare). Thurs to Fri is my day of Fasting and praying and today I had a couple of special prayer requests for my husband. It was easy for both of us to say "I love you" along with some reasons why. Thanks Jeeva for praying for the Love Dare couples. I know that Dave and I have been the recipient of your answered prayers. Not that we are now the perfect couple (far from that) but there is an intimacy and respect for each other that we are more willing to share (even though we are old) ha ha ha.
