   Hi Chris and Lisa, I enjoy hearing the perspective of a newly married couple. I had a whole different take on this dare than you. I understood the “leaving” having to do with the relationship with your parents and in-laws. I would have thought that there would be more issues to face in this area at the start of a marriage. Perhaps because you didn’t get married till you were older and living on your own, you had already broken the ties to your mother’s apron strings.

   Hey Joanne,
   I guess some of the dare can be understood in different ways. To be honest, that was Chris intrepretation. I thought something different than both of you
   I love Chris’ Parents and we have a great relationship.
   Also, He has lived on his own for a long time and he is pretty independent. He loves his Parents and values them. But, he doesn’t call them with every decision he makes or every/any disagreement we have.
   I’m acually constantly telling him to call to check-in with them.

   As for my parents, I only have a Mother, and I haven’t lived with her in almost 7 years. So, there isn’t any leaving issue there either.
