Day 33 – Love completes each other

If two lie down together they keep warm, but how can one be warm alone? — Ecclesiastes 4:11

Today’s Dare

Recognize that your spouse is integral to your future success. Let them know today that you desire to include them in your upcoming decisions, and that you need their perspective and counsel. If you have ignored their input in the past, admit your oversight and ask them to forgive you.

What are some upcoming decisions you can make together? What did you learn today about the role of your mate?

I have been following this love dare on and off, but when I checked in today and read this dare, I just smiled.

Last night before bed, I said to my husband of 7 months, “Babe, I couldn’t do my life without you”. He was kind of shocked, as I am a fairly strong and independent woman, and he said, “Of course you could! You would be fine without me.”. I then said, “No, I honestly wouldn’t. You hold my life together and your support allows me to do everything that I do; without you there, I wouldn’t be able to do it”. He then gently said that he felt the same way about me.

It was a special moment. It makes me glad to know that even though we are not “officially” doing the love dare that we still are loving each other in a healthy and uplifting way. It is moments like these that remind you what a blessing marriage is and what a gift your spouse is.

    Hi Christine!

Thank you so much for sharing this “special moment” with the rest of us…bless you!

You just reinforced something we’ve been sensing in our spirits and telling anyone who would listen (ha ha!)–you’re better off to do part of the dare, hit-and-miss, on-and-off, (half-heartedly or demi-derriere-ly even!) than not doing any of it at all! God can take whatever little we do and multiply its effect way beyond anything we could ever ask or imagine!

We commend you for daring to express your love. May your marriage be filled with more “special moments” such as this.

    Blessings.
