The Love Dare–Day 34
As we tried to think of examples of Christian character, the Holy Spirit highlighted for us the “fruit of the Spirit” passage in Galatians 5:22-23 as one that we could use as a yardstick–love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control…and we did in coming up what we share on this video…be blessed!

Again this dare causes me to focus on my husband’s positive traits and to take the time to commend him for it. This is so much better for our relationship than me noticing what he does wrong and commenting on that.
My husband is a man of integrity and insists on telling the truth and being honest in every situation. If he has been overpaid in a business transaction he insists on returning the money (whether thousands of dollars or small change).
It’s interesting that you would bring up the fruit of the Spirit. I was just saying to my husband yesterday that I wanted our children to choose be loving, patient, joyful, generous, kind, and gentle in different situations. However they imitate my behavior, so if I want them to react like then I must model it for them. I have a long way to go in modeling Christian character.

Well, we have been following along with the dares the past few days and found some more fun than others – 1 specifically found one easier than others to fulfill. (I don’t think I have to say which one). Jeeva had to give more info which was helpful. I liked looking for the Christian character that my spouse modeled and it wasn’t hard even though he has not yet accepted Christ as his savior, he is saying Grace with me at meals and last night I was into a bite of my food when I heard him saying “Bless – well I had forgotten and he reminded me (thank you Jesus). He also has been building crosses as I’ve mentioned before and has just rec’d another request for one (which he is very happy to make).

You both are fantastic, really enjoyed hearing from you both and God is teaching me so much through this love dare.
