The Love Dare–Day 37
Praying together as a couple has been part of our lives for a while now…that’s exactly what we’ll be doing as soon as this blog is published! Give a listen to how important this is for us as you press “Play.” Be blessed!

Other than at meal time, my husband and I do not have a regular time of prayer together. We both pray during our own devotional time and we will ask each other to pray about specific things. We have tried praying together (because I thought that’s what Christian couples needed to do) but it doesn’t really work for us. I can communicate more personally and openly with God on my own. However, I do see the effectiveness of praying with others. The book lists 10 things that make prayer effective (page 204) and both praying in secret and praying in agreement with others are listed there.
I have definitely experienced the power of prayer in my life. In fact I believe that prayer has been a powerful tool in changing circumstances and relationshps in my life. I am so convinced of this that I have committed myself to spending more time in prayer daily.
I find that others (including your spouse) are comforted when you tell them you are praying for them in difficult situations. I know that I have always appreciated others praying for me. It touched my heart Jeeva, when you said you and Sulojana were praying for all the couples doing this dare. You’re praying for me!! I am blessed.

My husband and I are having serious difficulties. I know the love dare will be over soon but I think all 3 couples have been suchn great sports and teachers mentors and I know much prayer is needed. We do not pray together I am not perfect but I am praying for my husband to have a closer relationship with Him. I typed under the general blog I think it was day 35 for any one who wants to give me a call for my email to be a encouagement and pray for each other and hopefully have someone to talk to be accountable to and teach us and mentor us. Its important to me not so much for my husband unfortunately. Sister Sue
