Love Dare #38

Hey,

We did it together again… Lisa had to help me through it after my disappointment… Listen to see why!

I recall my son-in-law saying “I can’t believe I’m depressed over a game” – this was the next day at work after his favorite hockey team lost. I can’t relate at all and I have no sympathy. Sorry Chris.
You are right that at this time in your life you can both focus on each other’s dreams and thereby you are both fulfilling your own desires. Enjoy it while you can because someday you’ll both have to sacrifice (if you have kids).

Oh Chris – I can totally relate to how you were feeling after the game last night. On November 29th, the Saskatchewan Roughriders lost the Grey Cup with no time remaining on the game clock due to a penalty caused by having 13 players on the field…. I have lived in Saskatchewan my entire life and football is very important to us …so my sympathy is extended whole heartedly. On the other hand I have friends in New Oreans so actually was cheering for the Saints….:)

I think it is great when two people share their dreams but I don’t think you have to give up any of your own dreams..I agree with Lisa – there are some things that can be very important to one partner and the other partner can help in fullfilling the other’s dreams. There is no greater feeling than knowing you have done something to make your partner happy!!
