@FutureHyperion Why do you think it's unnecessary? Because facts are self-explained? One thing are the effects and its causes, and another totally different is the beginning of all the causes.

@FutureHyperion If I'm getting you right, you are asking me to probe that God exists? The proofs are only logical, not empirical. We can say overall that God exists as theory. However, is a fact for many people, me included. We can know about His properties because we deducted Him, not because we know Him. You can argue that, because we deducted Him, we invented Him, but the deduction is to posteriori.

@DarkScience0 Craig is merely saying that arguments put forward by 'Joe Public' are plain puerile. I agree. Have you tried to discuss this subject with your mates? Imagine a PhD in philosophy trying to discuss it with your average guy in a bus queue. No wonder he gets frustrated. Watch him debate with other scientists and philosophers. His line of argument is very persuasive.

@XzavierKnives Yes, if it's not a scientifically provable 'fact' then it remains philosophy. Philosophers such as Dr. Craig try to prove God exists by philosophical reasoning. He does a wonderful job but his 'proof' is not unequivocal fact. It's the same with all the problems philosophy asks questions about. If they were provable scientifically they wouldn't be disccussed by philosophers.

@Martinmartyboy That is a good point. And I think the difference in opinion lay there. I believe that when religion goes from saying "why" to saying "how" it enters the realm of Science. You can't say the book of Genesis is fact and try to ignore science, that's ridiculous. But, if one strictly looks at the "teachings" of said religions, I agree it would remain in the realm of Philosophy.

dr craig's memories as a human being may not have existed for eternity but the energy and matter that took so many twists and turns throughout time existed since time began.

Mr. Craig himself stated that the responses he receive's are sophomoric. He must realize that the response he gave in this video are also sophomoric. It's obvious he realize that the idea he was attempting to debunk is that the constituent parts existed. The parts forming a unique whole is not "beginning to exist". I'm "appalled" that a man who claims such education would use such an obvious strawman fallacy, while trying to debunk something he calls sophomoric.

Yeah, you're so right. Christians today are so much more ignorant than hundreds of years ago. When they declared war on heathens for living.

I like how his only example is reference of existence that is complete bull****. You are no different from random matter, you just happen to have a conscious with that random matter and have a significance as a person with other humans. Creation is a man made fallacy, it is only adjusting matter to have a significance to humans. This video is simply an appeal to emotion with no substance and no appeal to logic.

@sevenonpaper1 whithout Evolution theory we won't have vaccines. Evolution is an essential tool for scientist to use in making vaccines.
August 31, 2010 - 1:01 PM
@sevenonpaper1 Does he or does he not clearly state that premise 1) is that NOTHING.....i repeat NOTHING can come from NOTHING. Is it then not a contradiction to say NOTHING can come from NOTHING except for god who always existed? Is it not then far more rational and logic based to say the matter confined in the singularity always existed before the expansion as apposed to "a magic invisible guy existed before that". If you cannot grasp that I give up then.......
August 31, 2010 - 12:57 PM
@sevenonpaper1 Lol....Einstein believes in god.....you have to be practically illiterate to make that statement. There is whole websites dedicated to his quotes regarding his views on god....
August 31, 2010 - 7:57 AM
@sevenonpaper1 no :) a mouth full of knowledge ^^
August 31, 2010 - 7:45 AM
@sevenonpaper1 ...I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it. (Albert Einstein) I believe in Spinoza's God who reveals himself in the orderly harmony of what exists, not in a God who concerns himself with the fates and actions of human beings. (Albert Einstein) Ummm what were you saying?
August 31, 2010 - 7:31 AM
@shaotiger82 I disagree. Your'e NOT all ears. You're all mouth. And it looks like there's a choada in it.
August 31, 2010 - 7:29 AM
@Roper122 man, you CANNOT BE SERIOUS!! EVERYBODY AND THEIR DOG knew Einstein believed in God. Jesus ****ing Christ, are you REALLY THIS IGNORANT???
August 31, 2010 - 7:28 AM
@Regainish the winner of what? A mouth full of choada?
August 31, 2010 - 7:26 AM
@Pezzab5 yeah, pezzab5, your "grapes" must be the size of beebees. Your weeny is probably the size of a cat's penis.
August 31, 2010 - 7:24 AM
@Kailoa36 I've read Dawkins watchmaker and it was as Lane described. Dawkins is so SPECIOUS I'm thinking maybe there's TWO Richard Dawkins and I just happen to keep picking up books written by the ******* one.
August 31, 2010 - 7:20 AM
@RationalKnight oh REALLY? Where in the bible does it say that? Enlighten us, you hopeless booby. Someone TOLD you that and as far as you were concerned, that was good enough for you. But you never made the effort to think for yourself. You'd rather just have words erupt from your mouth.
August 31, 2010 - 7:17 AM
@drukenhard my god. you are so STUPID you don't even know how to spell your own NAME!! It's obvious you WANTED to spell DRUNKARD but you couldn't even get THAT right. You are more pathetic than I imagined. Your parents must be so ashamed of you. I feel sorry for them.
August 31, 2010 - 7:14 AM
@SmalltimR it's interesting that instead of having an intelligent response, which comes from an intelligent thought, you post some initials. Oh my. You're laughing your ass off. I am devastated! Whatever shall we do? Someone incapable of holding an adult conversation is "laughing their ass off". Or, wait. Laughing their ass off, "!" . The exclamation point really hammers the final nail in our coffins doesn't it?
August 31, 2010 - 7:10 AM
@notthatsinner Scientists make vaccines. Evolution doesn't. Scientists are the intelligent designers of vaccines. The mystery is, why can't you see this?
