East Coast Update / THE SALVATION ARMY
Many Canadians watched as Hurricane Fiona recently made landfall across parts of Eastern Canada, including Quebec, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland. David Harvey lives in Port Aux Basques NL and is currently serving as Pastor/Ministry Lead in this community branch of The Salvation Army. David shares first-hand what he is seeing and hearing as he and his Team work to care for residents who are still reeling from the storm's impact. David said that, most importantly, the emotional and mental health needs of the residents are of utmost importance...physical and material needs are easier to detect, and they will continue to meet, but prayer for these precious people is vital as they work through anxiety, high stress levels and lingering fear.
