High Valley on Their Rising Success

One of the sweetest sounds in music is the sound of sibling harmony, brothers or sisters singing together with an almost indistinguishable unity. The Rempel brothers of country trio High Valley have utilized the almost inseparable vocal blend that can occur when three brothers sing together, and their songs benefit greatly from it.

Formed in 2007, the trio from Blumenort, Alberta were quickly recognized for their honest, heartfelt songs and tasteful harmonies, and their debut, self-released record Broken Borders earned them the Album of the Year Award at the GMA Canada Covenant Awards.

Known for blending thoughtful, introspective lyrics about faith and failure with love songs that sound like "big ‘ole party anthems", High Valley create feel-good records that offer a solid biblical message.

The band was happy to take part in the gospel brunch at the Boots and Hearts Festival in Bowmanville, Ontario this August, saying, "Our faith is the most important thing to us. When we have an opportunity to be part of something like this, we take advantage of that. It keeps us legit."

While Bryan Rempel's recent departure from the band has reduced the trio to a duo, brothers Brad and Curtis plan to carry on with High Valley. Their new record, Country Line, is slated for release October 14.
