Crossroads Cares Update

Crossroads Cares Cheryl Weber along with Joe Amaral share some important updates on the work being done worldwide with the help of your contributions to Crossroads Cares.

Ukraine Special – we met our goal!! Crossroads Cares raised $106 thousand dollars for Ukraine!! 3,500+ families received food, and hygiene supplies this past year. 563 orphans received Christmas gifts and ongoing visits with seminary students. We helped improve orphanage living conditions with air recuperators, a new washing machine, lighting and radiators, plus providing new bedding, diapers, and footwear. 

Uganda – two new washrooms were built this year for the girl’s dorm and the 195 nursery children. We repaired the school bus to provide the transportation needed for many students, along with farm equipment to help the local farmers. 19 communities now have access to clean water, impacting 18,066 people. 40 New chairs and 20 desks were purchased for the nursery kids. 

 First Peoples Voices – 50 Communities participated in the Christmas campaign receiving Christian books, Bibles, children’s supplies, & winter items. 1,597 people received a hot meal, and 244 families received a food basket. 150+ children were blessed with attending a summer camp and Birch Narrows families participated in the garden program growing fresh produce. 

Kenya – helping 66 at-risk young girls and child mothers receive an education and skills-training along with trauma counseling, medical & spiritual care. 

Responded to Hurricane Helene in fall and the Myanmar earthquake this past spring. Providing emergency supplies to families in a time of crisis. 

 Nigeria – 60 widows (whose husbands were killed for their faith) received skills training and education enabling them to provide for their families.
